15 minute drive inland from the Villa Port d’Attache brings you to Mougins, the most gastronomic of the medieval perched villages on the French Riviera.
This village oozes charm. Parking is provided at the foot of this pedestrian-only village.
The gastronomic reputation of Mougins started with chef Roger Vergé creating the Moulin de Mougins, an ancient olive mill which he converted into an internationally renowned restaurant. Other Michelin-star chefs followed, including Alain Llorca and Sébastien Chambru. The Restaurant Candille also boasts one Michelin star. Other top chefs known to Mougins include Christian Willer, Marc Veyrat, Emile Jung Anne Sophie Pic, Eric Frechon to name a few. The town also lays claim to Picasso who spent the last years of his life there with Jacqueline.
