ourdon, 28 kilometres from Port d’Attache, is considered as one of the prettiest villages of France. It is indeed quite spectacular as it seems suspended on the cliff face with probably the best viewpoint of the Côte d’Azur.
It’s an old town with cobbled streets and like Mougins, there are no cars in the village.
It’s a great place to have lunch. There is also a privately owned castle, le Chateau de Gourdon, well known for its exceptional gardens featuring sculptured hedges. The gardens can be visited on appointment, but only in groups of 10.
